Scalloped Edge Tops

These simple and dainty tops will make any outfit. The small touch of a scalloped edge can turned a plain boring top into a statement piece. Team it with a chunky burgundy cardigan or dress it up with a body-con skirt or jeans and heels. I bought my mine from Internacional for £6.99 and as well this mustard colour perfect for Autumn, it also comes in white, brick red, a pink-coral and a dark camel colour. I recently saw identical tops in Topshop for around double the price. Simple yet Classic!

Avon's Ultra Colour Rich Colordisiac Lipstick

The name of the lipstick says it all - it is highly pigmented and ultra glossy. I purchased the shade 'Can't Resist Coral' and that is exactly what i got. It is a vibrant coral-red but Avon also do another 9 shades ranging from pale pink, fushia, red and a deep plum but also has a few more nude-brown shades so there is something for everyone no matter their skin tone. The lipstick is stunning to look at the lips but also packeging wise it is too: the tube colours are a purple to black gradient...simple but sheek. Avon claim the lipsticks are "infused with a seductive scent" which they are however, personally I would say they are more fruity than "seductive". Apart from that, i don't have a bad thing to say about them! The cost is £8.50 which is a little expensive but totally worth it.

The formulation is very creamy and glossy, and stays on the lips for fairly long time. Coral may be a little daring for some people, but I think it would suit any skin tone and espically compliment those with olive skin.

NEW Sleek Nude Collection: Au Naturel Palette!

As soon as I saw the stunning colours in Sleek's latest palette, I knew I had to pick it up from Superdrug, where it retails at £6.49. Being someone who sticks to neutrals, I didn't think i would get my use out off the other palettes, like the Original and the Storm, as even they have a few brighter shades.

The Au Naturel palette has a mixture of matte and shimmery shades, and with 12 shadows, the palette is definately worth the money. It is incredibly versitile, with light, natural colours for an everyday look, but also darker, more intense shades for a smokey, evening look.

With a large mirror, and a decent sized sponge applicator brush, the palette really is 'sleek' and compact, perfect for travelling. Thankfully, the palette is being made apart of the permanent range.

Top Row From Left to Right: Nougat, Nubuck, Cappuccino, Honeycomb, Toast, Taupe.
Bottom Row: Conker, Moss, Bark, Mineral Earth, Regal, Noir.
The matte colours can be a little chalky and less pigmented, however this is the case with most matte shadows. The shimmery colours are very highly pigment with little fallout, and have a lovely sheen in the light. The shadows are easily blendable.
A selction of swatches from the palette.
